Written on Friday May 23, but not actually posted.
This morning Olivia and I went outside to work on cleaning up our patio. From the bathroom remodel it was a complete mess and I just couldn’t take it any longer. It has been really wet and rainy here for a couple of days, but I decided to take her out anyway. She clearly didn’t mind. She rolled around in the grass and then found a puddle under our skylight. She was so excited and just stood in the puddle and stomped away! Then it started to rain and she thought it was even better! She was quite the mess but appeared to have a great time!
So since last Sept I have only been working a few hours here and there from home, but this month and the month of June it is changes. I am going to work at my old job 1 night a week until the second baby comes. It is at an apartment complex for mentally ill formerly homeless adults. It is really simple I just sit at a desk and push a button to open doors, hand out medications, and be there in case anything out of the ordinary happens. So far last night was great. Nothing really happened so I got paid to sit and be still for 5 hours. I don’t sit still very often so it was a very good thing!

So being sick is no fun. Especially when you are sick, pregnant and have a small child. Monday morning Olivia woke up throwing up. It wasn’t much and then she seemed to feel much better afterwards. She did not have much of an appetite, but otherwise she seemed fine. So Monday night, right when Andy came home (when I knew I could have some help) I started feeling terrible. I am not one to throw up so I resisted as long as I could. Then I decided that since Olivia had throw up and felt better maybe I should too. So I did and I did feel much better, but only for a short time. To make a long gross story short I was sick most of the night until I woke up Andy due to a fear of being dehydrating and causing trouble for the baby. Maybe a for a little comfort too. We called our doctor and she said that we should to the hospital to labor and delivery to get some of my fluids replenished. So at about midnight we woke up Olivia and headed out. Olivia was quite confused about what we were doing and why she was awake, but she was a good trooper for most of the experience. We did not return home until just after 4 AM and we were all happy to get into bed. So far today I am doing fairly well. I am seeing a new doctor today as I switched OBGYN’s and I am hoping she does not discourage me from getting on a plane tomorrow with Olivia to head to Iowa. As my mom said the trip there will not be fun if I am sick, but once I am there she can take care of me and Olivia.
On a side note I had made a list of projects Andy might be able to accomplish while he is a bachelor for the week, but to have one major project move up and take center stage. Our home was built in the 1960’s so things are bound to happen. Well on Sunday I stepped into the bathtub to say something to Andy through the window as he was outside. When I got close to the window I grabbed onto the tile and it broke apart. We knew this job was coming, but now Andy is trying to get it completed before I am back home. This involves him taking down the current tile and removing the fixtures and tub. Finding all of the new pieces we want to put in and then hiring a tiler to complete the job. We have found the tiler and he is coming on Monday so Andy has his work cut out for him. I am excited to see the final result

So one morning this week Andy had a really tough morning. He was missing everything including his sunglasses, car keys, and wallet. He searched for the longest time and finally found his wallet, took my key for the vehicle he wanted to drive and decided to go with his sunglasses as he was going to be late. About 20 minutes after he left for the day Olivia was playing and pulled his keys out of one of her toys. I called to inform him and at least he could feel a little bit better knowing that losing everything was not his fault.
Now we will just have to watch Olivia a little closer with our things.
